Source: The Augusta Chronicle, Ga.迷你倉Sept. 19--Get your smartphone ready to snap photographs of the historic Miller Theater.Symphony Orchestra Augusta and the Morris Mu貞eum of Art are sponsoring a smartphone photo contest for pictures of the Miller.In early 2012, Symphony Orchestra Augusta started a campaign to renovate the Miller into a 1,300-seat concert hall, a music institute and space for other performing arts. The renovation is expected to be completed in 2015.Submitted photos will be on display in the exhibition Snapshots of Time: Images of the Historic Miller Theater at the Morris Museum of Art. Voting for迷你倉the winning images takes place during the exhibit's opening reception, Oct. 10 from 5:30 to 7 p.m."This new initiative is consistent with our efforts at the museum to bring art to the community and to involve as many people in the creation of art as we can," said Matt Porter, the Morris Museum of Art's assistant curator of education.The winning photos will be announced on the Miller Theater's Facebook page and on Twitter @MillerTheater.Copyright: ___ (c)2013 The Augusta Chronicle (Augusta, Ga.)
